About Crumb
Crumb delivers hot food to SCU students via autonomous sidewalk robots. Every delivery starts with a critical handoff: getting food from the restaurant counter to the bot. That's where you come in.
The Role
Our First-Mile Coordinators are the human bridge between the dining hall and the fleet. You'll work scheduled shifts at Benson Memorial Center, picking up customer orders from dining vendors and loading them safely into the robot. This is a foundational role at Crumb — without you, nothing rolls. Reports to the Head of Operations.
What you'll do
- Show up to your shift on time (this is the most important part)
- Receive incoming order notifications via the Crumb operator app
- Present the customer's pickup QR code at dining vendor scanners
- Verify order accuracy (correct items, sealed packaging, hot is hot, cold is cold)
- Load orders into the assigned robot's compartment securely
- Confirm dispatch and send the bot on its way
- Flag anomalies (missing items, late food, mechanical issues with bot) to Operations
Requirements
- An SCU ID and ability to access Benson during dining hours
- Punctuality and reliability
- The ability to walk and carry food simultaneously
